"PRESSED FROM THE WILD" – Linocut Series on Clay
Each piece in this collection carries the imprint of hand-cut lino blocks — images of animals, leaves, wings, and branches carved into linoleum and pressed onto clay. The technique, borrowed from traditional printmaking, gives rise to bold, textured impressions: marks that feel both primitive and precise.
The process is slow and tactile. A drawing becomes a carved surface; the carved surface becomes a stamp; and the stamp becomes a moment captured in clay. The result is a dialogue between material and image — between wild forms and deliberate hands.
No two prints are the same. Small shifts in pressure, slip, and glaze give each plate or tray its own atmosphere — sometimes crisp, sometimes ghostly. Some carry strong contrasts, others feel weathered, like something uncovered from the forest floor.
